Toledo Frustrated

In case you missed it, the Green Wave coaching staff has sent video of the fourth quarter of last week's game, contesting that tight end Gabe Ratcliff was out of bounds with 17 seconds left in the game (and, thus, the clock should have stopped). Toledo himself was shaking his head over the call during his weekly press conference:

"You can't do anything. It's like wrestling with a hog...you get dirty and the hog walks away. There's nothing you can do, what can you do? You express your feeling and you're disappointed in what happened, but officials are human. Hopefully you have replays that take care of some of that, but the game is over. We can't do anything about it and that's the sad thing."

"We've sent video in that shows everything. Now it's up to the commissioner to get back to us and our supervisor of officials. Our supervisor of officials was over in Europe refereeing a game, so he wasn't available to talk to the other day. Anyway, that's what happened. I'm not blaming officials. I'm just saying I wish we would have had a chance to see what we could have done."

Toledo reiterated his stance on not playing guys or even not letting guys suit up or attend road trips if they don't perform better in practice. He also didn't name a defensive player of the week, a clear sign of his disappointment with the unit. In addition, Toledo noted that Kevin Moore suffered a separated shoulder and will be out for some time.
