Re: Army Game

Well, that was a disaster. That's a game this team needed to win to be bowl eligible, and it looks like that goal is beginning to evade this team. UAB, SMU, Rice, even Tulsa are all beatable teams, but with the offense playing the way it has and the conservatism of the coaching staff, all those games look like close losses at this point. Hopefully we'l be posting quotes from tomorrow's press conference. Here is his post game presser and notes from Saturday, and a good article by Ted Lewis of the Times Picayune.

Also, here's a YouTube video of Thevenot's missed field goal in overtime, and Army fans storming the field (you heard right).

ugh this was definitely a game Tulane should have won and I have no doubt that it is much more disappointing for the guys on the team than it is for any of us fans. I'll be the first to admit that I'm on the Toledo bandwagon because I truly believe that he can help our guys, as displayed in the first half of the LSU game. I just don't understand why we can't close out games. It seems as though we have been playing extremely well in the first half of games, but something changes the dynamic in the second half and we seem to go downhill. I understand that this is a building year, but with Matt Forte's excellent play, I feel as though we are missing opportunities that are definitely within our reach.
