Marshall scored three runs in the top of the fifth to make 5-1 but the Wave responded with 1 in the bottom of the inning and two in the bottom of the sixth on a home run by Sam Honeck.
Through the first three innings, Marshall has a 2-0 lead over the Wave. Marshall scored their runs on a single and then a throwing error by Rob Segedin in the top of the third. The Wave have mustered just one hit so far, but have drawn two walks. Aaron Loup has given up just three hits, but has struggled with his control and has walked three batters. It could be a quick outing for Loup as he has thrown 70 pitches already.
